NETTLES WITH BEANS

NETTLES WITH BEANS

Clean young nettles as clean young spinach, and then wash in several waters. Cleaned and washed young nettles put in a saucepan with 2 liters of water, add salt and cook for 30 minutes. Drain the cooked nettles from water and finely chop. Finely chop one onion and one bunch of young onions.

Clean beans, wash and boil in one liter of water. Half-cooked beans drain of the water and pour fresh water, add onion, young onion, salt and fat. Continue to cook over medium heat until the beans are not cooked. At the end of cooking, add the nettles and cook for another 15 minutes. Dish should be thick, so be careful about the amount of added water. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve. Food is prepared without roux.

Required:

  • 200g young nettles
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 bunch of young onions
  • 250 g of beans
  • 4 tablespoons of melted fat / oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
